Helping those in danger

Powers of all the heavens

Helping those we love

Away (away, away…girls come in), come sail with me (with me, with me…girls sing)

Look to find a stranger

Helping those in danger

Powers of all the heavens

Helping those we love

“Ahhhhyyaaaaaaaaaa!

“Ahhhhyyaaaaaaaaaa!

(Drum rolls, cymbals, instrumentation, choir)

Away (away, away…girls come in), come sail with me (with me, with me…girls sing)

Away (away, away…girls come in) a world to be (to be, to be…girls sing)

Away (away, away) beyond the stars

Up in the heavens

“Kaphoom!”

Emptiness exits. Lost in time, two parallel branes touch at the direction of the Force. Branes meet and cosmology begins. The universe expands. Dark matter, dark energy, are sent streaming from the core of a mass of stellar gas. Matter and antimatter react to power the development of galaxies, stars, worlds, and heavenly bodies some billions of years old and some only newly, formed.

A force has breathed a breath.

There is a book with knowledge true

That tells of all things past

All things to come, the present here

Of things that are to last

Its words stem from but one great source

Who dusted it with truth

To all great men who seek the Word

To lead, then add a tooth

Of Gort, three here, FaSloth four there

Some hair and then beware

Yxcoodle, zrixen, eye of mixen

Blenfinpleny earth then dare

Let Naite, slime mold, fungal root

Then give to it a birth

Let all men know of seeds of cosmos

Sewn in gases, earths

The Word, the Way, I look to find

Where is the Magic Book?

Your vapors show to me the source

From where a brother sook—the book: The Word and the Way

Show me the Book. Where is the Way?

Known by few, there are secrets to the Order of the Octagon: language is both a barrier and a common denominator.

Space, space, space, and…

“Kawowphoom!” A titanic explosion rocks the heavens.

Multicolored gases spew in all directions outside the Order.

A monumental supernova explodes. Hydrogen and helium gas has long ago been extended, used up. The massive star that creates chaos implodes. Iron, light and heavy elements once forming a star have been spent. Now, a sun has died.

Just inside the Talakanon Galaxy, the HH321 Tri Onan 8 solar system has been barely spared. Technetia and Techne people of Tri Onan 8-e, of Ghint’e command, see light flash brilliantly in the sky. Quickly, yet slowly, the radiating energy of the nova dissipates, inversely diminishing at the square of the distance from implosion.

The outburst is an example of chaos in the middle of the calming vacuum known as space. The atmosphere supporting Techne life, albeit dismal, has not been blown away. Technitians will see this nova for years to come. One of the Techne allies, a carbon-based life form with high intelligence, flies on a mission for all Ghint’e. He pilots his screaming vessel some distance across the void of the Octagon.

General Tiekus Tauk of Carmadon flies his Spider-ship, his stellar cruiser. He comes to find and help one, who knows much—the Master.

“Phwoom!” The stellar cruiser whisks through space, closer to its intended target.

Tauk has heard a brother call. General Tiekus Tauk learned from the source that has borne many, trouble. Trouble is the Master. He, is the Ze.

The Dark One, Ze, who lay in suspended animation upon Gameon has signaled help from those he claims his own kind, the Ghint’e, or, the Spider Alliance. Years ago, he learned a secret: a key to unavowed truths of the Order of the Octagon.

Now, “We shall find it soon enough,” Tauk says calmly to his first lieutenant. “Are we locked in?”

“It will not be long, commander,” Dyon Nubak answers. “Keo Coy is at the bridge. She has coordinates, told, to us.”

“Very good,” Tauk says. Tight-lipped, he nods.

Tauk stands in the engineering room of his star-ship with Nobo 3 and Nobo 4 working to ensure the ship is in good order. Tauk is the strong-willed leader of the Ghint’e.

“Borzoyle Ze will be free in due time, the Book shall be in our possession, and we will work to learn its secrets and those of the Order of the Octagon. We labor against the Thema’s, the Order. I shall call a meeting of our council once we rest the text from its location and make our way to Carmadon. Yabba Yea, Tuft, Na Tooky Eh, Otbot, and generals will be glad to know we have had success. Make, preparations. We hold a gathering to call the Ghint’e together.”
